... of a designer tells you a lot about how he works. As illustrated by the well-known Tale of the Chinese Emperor and the Rooster, creative work does not suddenly emerge from nothing. The finished product is the result of a concentrated process, during which countless ideas are sketched, developed and sometimes dismissed again. By immersing himself in the task at hand, the designer develops the final form. And a glimpse of his sketchbook reveals something about the path he took to get there.
